Costs for participation to the ASC Master’s course amount to 9 000 € per year for students from Partner Countries* and to 4 500 € per year for students from Program Countries*. These costs include registration in at least two host universities, academic training,  library and laboratory costs, full insurance coverage, organisation of  Mobility tracks,  language courses (in parallel or before the academic training), participation to ASC winter schools, on site visits, and  administrative costs.

* Program Countries: the 28 EU Member States (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, UK*) and  the EEA-EFTA states (Norway, Lichtenstein, Iceland, Former Yougoslav Republic of Macedonia, Turkey). *Full details available here.

All other countries are refered to as  partner countries.

Participation costs do not include the living expenses (approximately 700 € per month) nor the transportation costs to and within Europe.

As stated in the student agreement, signed upon entrance into the ASC programme, participation costs are collected at the beginning of each semester.


Each year, tuition fee waivers are granted upon request, based on academic records and financial needs. Requests should be addressed to master-asc@univ-lille1.fr after the selection results have been issued.
